June 12, 2015 By Anthony Capkun

(UPDATED July 20, 2015) June 12, 2015 – “Customers want to touch and feel what they’re buying,” explained Gary Arnott, GE Industrial Solutions’ general manager, North America Sales, “hence the popularity of the Customer Experience Centre.”
EBMag recently returned from Mebane, N.C., where GE cut the ribbon to officially open its new Customer Experience Centre. The company explained that, along with its global product showroom and advanced manufacturing plant, the centre is designed for customer collaboration that will enable GE to develop new products in simpler, smarter and faster ways.
About the video “Touch what you’re buying at GE Mebane”: We spoke with Lisa Bagwell, global MV product line leader, to learn more about the facility and the role it plays in GE’s global medium-voltage platform.
This gallery contains photos from the Customer Experience Centre, the ribbon-cutting and shots from the plant floor. More on this event to come in Electrical Business Magazine, and here at EBMag.com. (Photos A. Capkun)
