GE Canada donating $50K to support Alberta flood relief efforts

July 8, 2013 – GE Canada says it will donate $50,000 to the Canadian Red Cross to help with flood relief efforts in southern Alberta. The company is also matching employee donations to the Canadian Red Cross.

“The Canadian Red Cross is very grateful for the support we have received today from GE Canada to ensure that Albertans who have been affected by flooding are supported during this difficult time,” said Sue Phillips, director general, Western Canada, Canadian Red Cross.

“Our employees across the country, and particularly those in Alberta, are supporting the recovery efforts in Alberta. Our thoughts are with all of those impacted by the floods at this difficult time,” said Elyse Allan, president and CEO, GE Canada.
