October 2, 2012 – GE Lighting has introduced the GE Energy Smart 27W LED bulb, delivering 1,600+ lumens, 3000ºK colour temperature and 25,000-hour rated life. Featuring the standard A-19 bulb shape, the incandescent replacement bulb boasts of smooth dimming, instant full brightness and 60+ lumens per watt. The bulb also features a synthetic jet– a method to move air to cool LEDs using an oscillating membrane, which fits within the envelope of the A-19 bulb shape.
