November 23, 2014 – GE says utilities, commercial buildings, etc., can rely on a more energy-efficient alternative to traditional HID (high-intensity discharge) security lights with its Evolve LED security light.

With a rated life of 100,000 hours, the security light is designed for such applications as outdoor workyards, commercial and roadside establishments, and roadway lighting in rural areas. With dimming capability, the light is built to withstand the elements, and features 4000K and 5000K colour temperatures and reflective technology. Offered in two lumen levels and two optical distributions, the light has a lumen maintenance rating of L70 at 100,000 hours.
