GE Renewable Energy names John Lavelle Offshore Wind business CEO

November 4, 2016 – GE Renewable Energy has appointed John Lavelle CEO of its Offshore Wind business. He succeeds Anders Soe-Jensen, who will continue as Offshore Wind’s commercial and business development leader.

 “John is an outstanding CEO, with a proven track record in business development and project execution across many GE businesses,” said Jerome Pecresse, president and CEO of GE Renewable Energy. “His global experience and deep knowledge of the company will help our offshore business benefit from entire GE store, while also instilling new digital capabilities into the growing offshore segment.”

Lavelle is a 33-year GE veteran, leading Digital Energy and Gasification, as well as GE Energy Project Operations where he oversaw a $75-billion project portfolio.
