Briggs & Stratton’s 2017 corrosion-resistant standby generator can handle high winds

May 1, 2017 – Briggs & Stratton Corporation says it has introduced a new corrosion-resistant aluminum enclosure for its standby generator systems, specifically designed to withstand “extreme weather conditions, including hurricane-force winds up to 175 mph”.

The unit will be offered on both the Briggs & Stratton and Briggs & Stratton Fortress brand for 20kW1 standby generator systems (rated in accordance with UL 2200 and CSA standard C22.2 No. 100-04), with a limited warranty of 6-years parts, labour and travel.
