Gerrie Electric Wholesale announces executive team appointments

April 5, 2023 – In anticipation of the imminent and future retirements of Richard Solonenko (CFO, EVP Operations) and Carmen Stewart (CMO, EVP Sales), respectively, Gerrie Electric Wholesale Ltd. has added several members to its executive team, effective April 3.

“The Gerrie family is committed to a long-term future focused on growth and expansion,” says the electrical distributor, adding these additions “position the company for continued success with all of [our] valued partners and employees”.

Jonathan Kwant has been appointed executive vice-president, eCommerce, Marketing, and Vendor Strategy. He has been employed with Gerrie Electric since 2004, in positions ranging from electrical counter and inside sales to one of several directors, Strategic Transformation.

Employed with Gerrie Electric since 2006, Joanna Kwant has been appointed executive vice-president, Sales. She has held a variety of roles during her tenure, including lighting studio sales, marketing, electrical counter sales, account management and one of several directors, Strategic Transformation.

Taylor Gerrie has been appointed executive vice-president, Operations. He has been employed with Gerrie since 2008 and has held various roles in electrical counter sales, automation inside technical sales, distribution centre operations and, most recently, as one of several directors, Strategic Transformation.

Heather and Elaine Gerrie will continue in their roles as co-presidents and CEOs.

Gerrie Electric is one of the largest independent electrical distributors in Ontario, with 22 branches and two distribution centres throughout south-central Ontario, and over 400 employees.

It is a Canada Best Managed company, Platinum Club member (maintaining Best Managed status for 7 years or more), and was certified by WBE Canada as a majority woman-owned company.
