Global electric vehicle symposium coming to Montreal in 2016

November 18, 2013 | By Anthony Capkun

November 18, 2013 – The Quebec government, in conjunction with Hydro-Quebec, confirmed the Electric Vehicle Symposium (EVS)—a global electric vehicle event—will hold its 29th edition in Montreal, June 18-22, 2016.

“Montreal and Quebec are an obvious choice, given the concentration and mobilization of key players in electric transportation,” said Pierre-Luc Desgagné, VP public and government affairs at Hydro-Quebec.

Organized by the World Electric Vehicle Association (WEVA), the symposium is held every 12 to 18 months on alternating continents. The event will be co-presented by the Electric Drive Transportation Association (EDTA) and Electric Mobility Canada. The program will include a trade exhibition, technical visits and presentations, and is expected to draw, says Hydro-Quebec, some 3000 international experts.
