Greenlee donates to Wind Turbine Technology Center

October 17, 2008 | By Anthony Capkun

Greenlee recently entered into a partnership with Highland Community College (Freeport, Ill.) with a donation of hand tools, test and measurement equipment, storage boxes and work benches worth over $30,000 to the college’s new Wind Turbine Technology Center.

“This
partnership will provide Greenlee with the opportunity to work with,
supply to, and foster the growing alternative energy industry in the
United States,” said Ajay Chandrasekhar, a member of the Greenlee
Strategy team.

The
college’s 5500-sf facility is the first of its kind in Illinois, and is
one of only four higher education institutions across the United States
to design a specific course for Wind Energy Technicians.
