Greenlee Gator Eye wants to prove your Gator tools performed correctly

November 8, 2013 | By Alyssa Dalton

November 8, 2013 – Greenlee has introduced the Gator Eye—a USB-powered diagnostic tool—which allows users to connect all Gator-brand crimping, cutting, and punching tools to Windows-based computers.

Using free-to-download software, users can then access detailed work history and view real-time diagnostic information, as well as create operations logs and PDF files to highlight operating pressure, number of crimps, battery information, and more. “This means that contractors and utility companies can do their jobs, and have documentation to prove that their tools performed correctly,” says Ryan Berg, product manager for Termination Tools at Greenlee. “It means that users can differentiate their services by providing accountability.” The Gator Eye can also be used to set maintenance intervals and add user identifiable information, which is useful for inventory management.
