November 26, 2013 – Greenlee’s Sidekick Plus line of multifunction test sets has been enhanced to offer options for Step TDR, Wideband Analysis, and ADSL/VDSL sync and service testing.

Rather than a complicated menu system, Greenlee says all main features are accessed on the Sidekick through a rotating mode selection dial, resulting in an easy setup with less downtime, as users can quickly select and familiarize themselves with the new features. The suite of ADSL/VDSL testing includes DSL Showtime, Bits to Tone, Signal-to-Noise Ratio, and Upper Layer Testing (Ping, Traceroute, HTTP, and FTP). The ADSL/VDSL equipped unit also features a range of Wideband tests and a Step TDR to enable technicians to diagnose various problems in copper-cable based communications networks.
