Guillevin acquires Dubo Électrique

March 2, 2021 | By Anthony Capkun

March 2, 2021 – Guillevin International has acquired Dubo Électrique Ltd., a distributor of electrical, lighting, automation and control products in Quebec.

“This new acquisition significantly consolidates our position of strength in the Quebec market with a broader clientele,” said Luc Rodier, Guillevin’s president & CEO, adding the acquisition will allow “us to offer greater geographic coverage and more opportunities for our strategic partners in this market”.

Dubo was founded in 1955, and now encompasses seven operating branches (Montreal, Laval, Saint-Hubert, Sainte-Adele, Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Trois-Rivieres and Quebec), as well as a 100,000-sf distribution centre.

Guillevin says the distributorship occupies a strong position in the MRO market, with government and institutional agencies, and large companies.

The company will continue to operate under the Dubo name, Guillevin added, and all jobs will be maintained under the new ownership.

“I am thankful to Sylvie Boileau, Dubo’s president, for the confidence she has placed in us and for her help in the company’s transition,” said Rodier.
