April 10, 2013 – Halco Lighting Technologies announced the availability of ProLED T8 LED lamps to its offering of solid-state lighting. The retrofit tube is an energy-efficient and environmentally friendly alternative to linear fluorescent lamps, says Halco, consuming only 16W with a 40,000-hr rated life. The frosted finish maintains the look and feel of fluorescent, but can be used in a wider temperature range: -20C to 50C. These mercury-free T8 LEDs operate on 120V, are available in either 4000K or 5000K colour temperatures, and feature a 5-year limited warranty.
