Halco Lighting Technologies introduces electronic sign ballasts

Halco Lighting now offers ProLume electronic sign ballasts to replace its magnetic sign ballasts. Four models operate one to six lamps from 2-ft to 48 total feet. They are much lighter in weight than magnetic ballasts, says Halco, adding they consume 25-40% less energy and operate cooler and quieter than magnetic versions. With an input voltage range of 120-277V, they can address more applications with fewer SKUs, reducing inventory costs. The parallel lamp operation ensures that, when a lamp fails, the remaining lamps will continue operating. These instant-start ballasts start in temperatures as low as -20ºF. ProLume electronic sign ballasts are UL listed and backed by a three-year warranty.
