August 28, 2014 – Calgary, Alta.-based Hazloc Heaters—a manufacturer of industrial unit heaters for hazardous and severe-duty locations—is celebrating its 10th anniversary next month. Congratulations!

“To our customers, it has been a wonderful decade of achievements, and we thank you for your business,” said Hazloc Heaters president and general manager, Clinton Lewis. “To our employees and vendors, I thank you for your dedication and loyalty to Hazloc Heaters, and in sharing our commitment to a standard of excellence.”

Back in September 2004, Hazloc co-founders Lewis and Darren Ochosky set out to, in their words, “develop high-quality and innovative industrial heating products with on-time delivery performance”. To accelerate growth, Hazloc formed a joint venture with Ouellet Canada Group Inc.

While starting out in a building of less than 1000 sf, the company has since expanded its facilities four times, now occupying over 16,000 sf. In addition to selling products in Canada and the States, Hazloc has achieved international certification markings on its explosion-proof electric air heaters, including ATEX, IECEx and EAC Ex.
