HD Electric Company releases PRX-4 proximity voltage detector

July 10, 2015 – HD Electric Company has introduced its new PRX-4 proximity voltage detector. It provides utility professionals, arborists and first responders with a safety tool that will alert them to potentially dangerous high voltage in their work areas.

The product has two voltage range settings of 50V-4kV and above and detects voltages around 3 in. at the 50V setting and 10 in. at 4kV and above. It is also sealed to resist water penetration in typical outdoor environments.

According to HD Electric, it weighs less than 1 lb and comes with a rechargeable battery. A 15-minute recharge is good for a typical full day use, the company added.
