October 26, 2013 – The VP-1 voltage probe by HD Electric Company is designed to be used as a hand-held direct contact secondary voltage detector from 50vAC to 600vAC, as well as a proximity voltage detector for higher voltages.

The VP-1 is always On, flashing its red light and beeping when voltage is detected. The VP-1 detects the presence of voltage on underground equipment test points or other energized equipment. A VP-1 kit is available, which includes a tester for testing the VP-1 for proper operation.
