October 18, 2013 – The LV-5 stray voltage detector from HD Electric detects voltage from 5VAC to 600VAC with direct contact and above 600VAC at a distance.

The LV-5 detector has an ultra-bright flashing indication of voltage, and is always On and ready to use, says HD. Resulting from faults or defects in power distribution systems, stray voltage is low voltage and not harmful, explains HD, but contact voltage is potentially lethal. The LV-5 is rugged and waterproof, says HD. The available kit includes a holster to store the LV-5 when not in use (it can be worn or hung), and it also tests the LV-5 for proper operation.
