Hendrix Wire & Cable (A Brand Name of Marmon Utility LLC) has introduced a heavy-duty plastic reel for shipment of primary underground cable. The reel is manufactured with recycled materials, and features a four-part design – two clamshell halves, arbor pipe and clamp. According to the company, it is a sturdy design that can hold most standard cut lengths. The reel is currently in full-scale use by a number of major utilities, it added.
