HessAmerica debuts Accadia LED

November 16, 2015 | By Renée Francoeur

November 16, 2015 – HessAmerica has a new in-ground LED luminaire for architectural lighting purposes: the Accadia.

Suited to illuminate towers, columns, parapets and more, this product is housed in 316 stainless steel and prewired with cable, eliminating the need to open the luminaire during installation. The tempered glass lens is bonded to the luminaire for a weather-tight seal, HessAmerica says.

The light engine consists of individual LEDs mounted on aluminum core printed circuit boards for enhanced thermal management and the LEDs work in conjunction with precision facetted reflectors to produce uniform illumination free of striations or hotspots, the company notes. Optics may be asymmetric for façade lighting or symmetric for uplighting. Colour temperatures are available in 3000K, 4000K, or 5600K with a CRI greater than 80.  RGBW models are in development.

It is available in three sizes with nominal lengths of 1 ft, 2 ft, or 3 ft.
