High-Lites HPL Series photoluminescent exit signs

July 12, 2010 | By Anthony Capkun

High-Lites introduced its HPL Series of photoluminescent exit signs, available in framed and un-framed versions. The signs are designed to absorb and store ambient fluorescent, metal halide or mercury vapour light energy, thereby not requiring battery or electric power. In the event of a power outage, the stored light energy creates a visible photoluminescent panel showing the egress path to the nearest exit. These exit signs employ no mechanical or electrical components, nor require maintenance. They are visible at 50 ft in a total blackout, and are designed for wall surface, end or ceiling mounting.
