Hilti announces TE-CX and TE-C hammer drill bits
July 4, 2011 | By Alyssa Dalton
July 4, 2011 – The new Hilti TE-CX Bit features a gradient carbide head that stops at nothing–not even the hardest rebar, it claims. Incorporating four rugged cutting edges, the carbide head’s special design helps prevent catching or jamming on rebar to extend the life of the bit, says Hilti, adding that the bits were designed for drilling holes for medium to heavy-duty anchors in the 3/16” to 1” range in concrete, masonry and other natural materials. And if you don’t expect to hit rebar, the TE-C line offers “unparalleled drilling speed” with a contoured head and carbide blade.
