October 6, 2015 – Hilti presents its new powder-actuated fastening tool, the DX 2, which covers a range of applications including attaching kicker plates to concrete; fastening sill plates; attaching drywall to concrete; fastening electrical cable holders to concrete; attaching chicken mesh to concrete; and fastening wood to concrete and steel.  

For overhead applications such as acoustical ceiling suspension using pre-tied wires, a pole tool assembly for the DX 2 is also available.

With a fastener range of ½-in. to 2 ½-in., and 2-in. to 7/8-in. (with pre-mounted washer) this tool provides the ability to access narrow spaces, Hilti says.

The DX 2 is also backed by Hilti lifetime service, an agreement that includes two year of no-cost repair coverage.
