Hit the books with Cooper Lighting’s 2014 Source classes

December 19, 2013 – Cooper Lighting has released the 2014 Source calendar of educational classes for the lighting and design community, offering a variety of seminars designed to broaden the understanding of lighting and its many different applications.

The Source is located at Cooper Lighting’s office in Peachtree City, Ga.

“The Source educational facility has been serving the lighting industry for more than twenty years,” said Mark Eubanks, president, Cooper Lighting. “With the rapidly changing technologies, integration of controls and legislation, our commitment is to continue to help move the industry forward by offering relevant courses addressing customer needs.”
 
Industry professionals and students can choose from different seminars and workshops, all of which include “live demonstrations and open discussions to help broaden participants’ lighting knowledge and gain a deeper understanding of fixture performance, design, installation, controls, visual effects and energy-efficient solutions”.
 
Most classes are offered multiple times throughout the year and include:
• Lighting Fundamentals
• LEDs, Controls, New Technologies and Retrofits for Energy-Efficient Solutions
• LED Exterior Lighting Solutions
• Healthcare Lighting Solutions
• LEDs and New Technology for Residential Lighting

Educating some 9,000 professionals each year, Cooper Lighting described the classes as ideal for a range of professionals and students from lighting designers, engineers and contractors, to utility personnel and facility managers. In many cases, classes offered satisfy continuing education credit requirements for professional organizations.
