Horizon Utilities donates van to Habitat for Humanity Niagara
July 6, 2016 | By Renée Francoeur
July 6, 2016 – Horizon Utilities says it’s helping deliver more than electricity after donating a cargo van to Habitat for Humanity Niagara to assist with their growing need to transport materials for programs, services and events. The van, equipped with ladder racks and interior shelving, is retired from Horizon Utilities’ fleet.
“Donating this retired van is one of the many new ideas sparked by our multi-year commitment to Habitat for Humanity Niagara,” said Neil Freeman, vice-president of business development and corporate relations with Horizon Utilities. “Our participation in build days, donating safety boots, and now providing a work vehicle allows our employees and the company to play an active role in the ongoing sustainability of our communities.”
