February 13, 2012 – Hammond Power Solutions Inc. (HPS), a North American manufacturer of dry-type transformers and magnetics, has named Bob Thompson its director of international operations.

“Bringing extensive technical and industrial knowledge in the oil transformer industry,” Thompson will play a key role in the growth of HPS’ international markets, as well as define strategies that will be developed for new targeted markets, said the company.

“His extensive background in the transformer industry will greatly support our goal to be a global player in the transformer marketplace,” said Bill Hammond, chairman and CEO of HPS.

For the past 11 years, Thompson served as president of Moloney Electric and brings with him over 30 years of experience in the oil transformer industry.
