Hubbell 4- and 5- wire Twist-Lock Edge plugs and flanged inlets

February 7, 2023 – Hubbell Canada announced it offers 4- and 5-wire Twist-Lock Edge plugs and flanged inlets boasting a “screwless termination” method.

This method replaces the standard screw termination with a new design that incorporates a steel spring that is attached to a lever mechanism. When the lever (or plunger) is activated, strong spring tension applies pressure on the conductor to create a strong termination, allowing you to terminate up to 80% faster.

Because of the nature of the spring, it will continually apply pressure to the conductor, regardless of temperature cycling or vibration, says Hubbell, adding it is the first in the market to offer a NEMA locking device with this type of termination.
