July 25, 2012 – (At EBMag, our focus is Canada’s electrical community. However, as Minnesota is our immediate neighbour—and this is an important anniversary—why not? Editor.)
IBEW Local 110, which encompasses St. Paul and the Eastern Metro, is celebrating its 100th anniversary. Chartered on July 29, 1912, Local 110 started with only dozens of electrical workers. Congratulations!
“The 100-year anniversary asks us to look back at the rich history that has kept this organization strong,” said Joe Lubitz, retiree and event organizer. “Thinking back on the working conditions of our founding fathers and the sacrifices they made, it makes me proud to be a part of this milestone celebration.”
The anniversary celebration will begin at noon, July 28, at Harriet Island.
