September 6, 2016 – Ontario’s Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) has posted a new Feed-in Tariff (FIT)/microFIT price schedule for 2017.

 
The IESO notes it is required to review the prices offered to generators under the FIT and microFIT programs annually to “ensure both ratepayer value and a fair return on investment”. A slide deck has also been posted that provides background and supporting information on the prices.
 
The price schedule will be effective on January 1, 2017, and will apply to any FIT contracts or microFIT application approval notices that are issued on or after that date.

FIT 4 wrapped up in June 2016 and FIT 5 procurement is expected to begin by November 1, 2016.
