January 20, 2012 – Irwin has developed the SpeedHammer Power SDS-plus masonry bit, a powerful solution for drilling through concrete reinforced with rebar, it says. According to Irwin, when drilling in rebar-reinforced concrete, the bits have twice the life of traditional masonry bits. The bits also feature a tip with twice the carbide for longer life and durability, it adds. The bits are available in 6″-, 8″-, and 12″-lengths, with diameters ranging from 3/16″ to 3/4″.
