General Cable announced that Joe Zajac has been named manager of market development for professional broadcast and commercial AV products. He will lead both the Gepco Brand and Sheer Wire products market and business development efforts.
Zajac has had 25 years of experience in the broadcast industry and 14 years of experience in manufacturing, product development and field engineering. He joined Gepco in 1996 where he held the positions of engineering manager, field engineer, and operations manager. This past year he was the manufacturing manager for Gepco products.
Prior to joining Gepco, Zajac was the managing engineering at Columbia College Chicago for 10 years where he has also been a part-time instructor for the last 20 years. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Radio/Sound from Columbia College Chicago and is a member of the Society of Motion Picture & Television Engineers. He has received certificates of appreciation from the Audio engineering Society and the Engineer and Recording Society of Chicago.
