John Deere releases 13.5L 6135HFG84 and 6135HFG75 gen-set engines

December 10, 2013 – John Deere Power Systems (JDPS) has introduced two 13.5L generator drive diesel engines for emergency stationary gen-set applications in the 350kWe to 500kWe range.

The PowerTech E 13.5L Tier 3 and PowerTech 13.5L Tier 2 engines boast reliable, cost-effective standby power for Canada’s 60 Hz market. The PowerTech E 13.5L 6135HFG84 features higher-output PowerTech E ratings of 401 kW (538 hp) and 460 kW (617 hp) at 1800 rpm, and meets key power nodes of 350 and 400 kWe standby power, while achieving Tier 3 emissions levels. Meanwhile, the PowerTech 13.5L 6135HFG75 offers a power rating of 563 kW (755 hp) at 1800 rpm and meets a key power node of 500 kWe standby power, and achieves Tier 2 emissions levels.
