John Deere to supply Tier 4 diesel engines in Hipower generators

January 7, 2014 – Hipower Systems has announced John Deere as a supplier for Final Tier 4 diesel engines in Hipower generators, with the John Deere PowerTech PSS 9.0L as the first in its offering.

The unit offers 237kW to 345kW (318hp to 463hp) standby power ratings, and is engineered using the PSS technology platform featuring 4-valve cylinder heads, cooled exhaust gas recirculation, high-pressure common-rail fuel systems, and air-to-air after-cooling.
