October 12, 2016 – Ontario’s Electrical Safety Authority reports Honey Electric’s Dale MacDonald has been elected to the board.

Based in Chatham, Ont., MacDonald and his brother have operated Honey Electric Ltd. for more than 40 years, says ESA, providing a range of electrical contracting services. Dale has served with a variety of industry, trade and community groups, including the Ontario College of Trades (OCoT), Ontario Electrical League (OEL), the interprovincial Red Seal program, and the Chatham-Kent chapter of the Canadian Mental Health Association.

“I am very pleased to welcome Dale to the ESA board as one of our three directors from the licensed electrical contractor sector,” said Brian Bentz, board chair. “We are in an evolving electricity and energy landscape that requires ESA to be adaptable and responsive. I look forward to having Dale’s insights and expertise assist us in navigating this world.”

Meantime, John Raepple—president and owner of John Raepple Electric Ltd. of Cambridge, Ont.—concluded his term on the board after nine years.

“John made outstanding contributions to the governance and oversight of ESA for the last nine years, and we thank him for all his efforts,” said Bentz.
