February 7, 2013 – Jonard Industries has just released its patented UC-864 modular crimping tool for voice and data applications, which is designed to cut, strip and crimp paired conductor cables (round STP/UTP and flat satin phone cables). Cable parameters: 28-22 AWG flat or round, solid or stranded, telephone or data. It crimps 4-, 6- and 8-position modular connectors (RJ22, RJ11, RJ12 and RJ45). The video (below) provides the basics for successfully attaching connectors. The tool boasts solid steel construction with a black oxide finish, and the crimping dies are made from high-carbon steel. The UC-864 is designed for WE-style (Western Electric) & SS-style (Stewart Stamping) modular connectors, but not for AMP connectors.
