Electrician Karen Pullen to chair new Ontario tradeswomen committee

March 5, 2021 – Electrician Karen Pullen, business rep with IBEW Local 353, has been named chair of the newly formed Ontario Building & Construction Tradeswomen committee.

A member of the local since 1990, she already advocates for women in the trades as chair of Local 353’s Women’s Committee. Karen will also serve as OBCT rep on the executive board of the Building & Construction Trades Council of Ontario.

The OBCT committee is the product of an effort by the Building & Construction Trades Council of Ontario to attract, graduate and retain more women in Ontario’s construction industry, reports IBEW.
