Klein Splinter Guard fish and glow rods for pain-free wire pulling

April 10, 2013 | By Anthony Capkun

April 9, 2013 – Raw fiberglass shards become exposed when rods scrap against the sharp edges of electrical boxes, wire trays and threaded rod, which is why Klein Tools introduced Splinter Guard fish and glow rods with a proprietary protective coating to keep hands free of these splinters. Splinter Guard rods are available in a variety of lengths and flexibilities; also, the sections can be threaded together to customize the length needed for the job at hand. The improved luminescent rods glow 2X longer and twice as bright in dark work spaces, says Klein. Sets include bullet nose and hook attachments to attach and grab wires.
