Icron USB 3.0 Spectra 3001-15 extender cable at BICSI Winter 2014
February 4, 2014 | By Alyssa Dalton
February 4, 2014 – L-com Global Connectivity, a manufacturer and distributor of connectivity products, will be exhibiting Icron’s USB 3.0 Spectra 3001-15 extender cable with ExtremeUSB technology as part of its display at this week’s BICSI Winter Conference & Exhibition in Orlando, Fla.
The Spectra 3001-15 claims to be the industry’s first rugged and robust low-cost 15 m USB 3.0 extension cable that provides 5Gbps throughput and 5V, 900mA of power. It features locking connectors, an LED indicator at the device connection point for operating verification and is compatible with AIA USB3 Vision compliant devices. Since the Spectra 3001-15 is bus powered, users do not need an additional power outlet to support USB 3.0 peripheral devices, such as cameras and storage devices, noted the company.
