August 27, 2014 | By Anthony Capkun

August 27, 2014 – LED Roadway Lighting (LRL) Ltd. has appointed Peter Conlon as CEO. The company’s founder, Charles Cartmill, retains his majority ownership stake and his position on the board of directors.

“With the appointment of Mr. Conlon as CEO and the recent appointment of Denis Lavoie as company president, I feel confident that the business is in excellent hands and feel comfortable in stepping back to enjoy my retirement from the day-to-day operations,” said Cartmill.

Conlon most recently served as president and CEO of Nautel Limited, a player in high-power radio frequency products and solutions.

“LRL is the most exciting company in Nova Scotia, and I am pleased by the vote of confidence that Chuck and the board have expressed in me,” said Conlon. “I am tremendously excited to work closely with the team assembled by one of Nova’s Scotia most successful entrepreneurs.”
