August 14, 2018 — Legrand recently launched a new series 316-grade stainless steel safety switches designed for use in harsh environments, such as food and beverage processing plants and industrial facilities.

As part of the Pass & Seymour product line, the switches are available in standard and sloped-roof designs and offer water- and dust-tight enclosures rated NEMA 4X/12 and IP66/67/69. The corrosion-resistant switches are available in 30A, 60A, 60A high horse power and 100A configurations that can accommodate up to three sets of auxiliary contacts for control circuit applications.

The switches are tamper-resistant, with high-visibility yellow and red handles to meet OSHA lockout/tagout requirements. The sloped-roof stainless steel safety switches incorporate a 15° sloped roof to help facilitate run-off, and has six conduit entry points. Meanwhile, the standard switches offer eight conduit entry points. Both types feature 3/4-in. stand-offs on the mounting feet.
