Lenox bi-metal self-feed bits – October 2011

October 26, 2011 | By Anthony Capkun

October 26, 2011 – Lenox has launched a new bi-metal self-feed bit, saying it has the strength to endure “often catastrophic nail encounters” when drilling through wood. The bit has a high-speed steel cutting edge and screw tip that enable it to stay sharper longer, boasts the company, adding the chamfered edges and flutes help remove excess wood chips while drilling, and make it easy to remove the bit from the hole afterward. The company says its technology helps the bit last 2x longer than previous models. The bi-metal self-feed bits are available at Lenox distributors, with a suggested retail price ranging from $29 to $140.
