February 25, 2016 – Calling it as an industry first, Leviton unveiled its SmartlockPro dual-function AFCI/GFCI receptacle, providing both arc and ground fault circuit interrupter protection in one unit.

The Test and Reset buttons on the device face aim to make it easier for homeowners to test the device monthly or respond to a trip. The Status Indicator Light—also on the face—provides a quick visual indication of AFCI and GFCI protection status: normal working state, miswiring, or an AFCI or GFCI trip.

As an added safeguard, the receptacle sports Leviton’s patented Reset Lockout, which prevents the device from being reset in the event it is malfunctioning, if protection has been compromised, or if the line and load wires were reversed during installation. The unit comes in tamper-resistant 15A and 20A models, meets applicable UL and CSA requirements and comes with a 2-year limited product warranty.
