Lightfair (LFI, or Lightfair International) is North America’s (perhaps, the world’s) largest annual architectural and commercial lighting trade show and conference. Showcasing “light” in all its aspects, Lightfair offers a comprehensive and diverse range of applications, high-end design and modern cutting-edge technology. It brings leading international and domestic architectural, design, engineering and lighting professionals together with exhibitors from around the world.
Rotating annually between New York and Las Vegas, Lightfair 2010 is expected to attract more than 19,000 design, lighting, architectural, engineering and end user professionals from around the world; it features more than 475 of the world’s leading manufacturers showcasing products in more than 1600 booths and 170,000 net square feet of exhibit space.
The Daylighting Pavilion showcases the best product-specific manufacturers incorporating natural with artificial light into the design while staying efficient, economical and environmentally conscious. Following a successful debut at Lightfair 2008, the European Light + Design Pavilion has evolved into the Global Light + Design Pavilion, and will feature decorative designs from Europe’s most unique lighting manufacturers—aligning with Lightfair’s commitment to expanding lighting globally in scope and uniting international manufacturers with the North American market.
Launching for the first time this year, the Building Integration Pavilion addresses one of the industry’s biggest topics, displays companies with enterprise system technologies used to maximize and form energy-efficient buildings, and spotlights building integration’s most successful projects.
Lightfair promises unparalleled educational and networking opportunities to both exhibitors and attendees. Renowned industry leaders teach the courses as well as address attendees during keynote luncheons and events. Moreover, the event also provides numerous networking events during the conference.
Every year, Lightfair provides an immediate overview of the latest lighting-related products and designs introduced in the past 12 months during its awards ceremony. The LFI Innovation Awards presentation—held in conjunction with the trade show and conference—honours the industry’s newest product designs and recognizes the best and most innovative companies and products in the lighting industry.
