May 22, 2019 – Current by GE has introduced the Arize Element TopLight, which it claims is the horticultural industry’s first one-for-one LED replacement for 1,000-W high-pressure sodium (HPS) lamps.

Unveiled this week at Lightfair International, the fixture offers multiple light spectrums to help optimize growth for specific crops. Loop cables allow it to be installed in many different ways when retrofitting greenhouses with LEDs.

“We continually talk to our customers and channel partners to understand how we can help them become more efficient,” says Melissa Wesorick, Current’s general manager (GM) of LED products and technology. “Installation ease is a critical need that we have challenged ourselves to deliver.”
