Focal Point expands Seem 4 luminaires to ease installation
December 13, 2018 – Focal Point has expanded its Seem-branded portfolio of architectural luminaires with new recessed grid and direct/indirect products.
The new Seem 4 linear lights feature 4-in. apertures. The recessed grid (examples pictured) is designed for use in lay-in and tegular (tiled) ceiling styles with flush, regress and pop-down lens options. It is available in individual units, continuous runs or pattern configurations. Ease of installation is facilitated with simplified alignment and joining, as well as field-adjustable mounting brackets.
The direct/indirect light, meanwhile, has been redesigned with a smaller housing height, 1.5-in. pop-down lens and suspension points that match those of the existing Seem 4 direct luminaire. It is available in suspended and wall-mounted options. With a batwing optic and increased lumen output up to 1,250 lm/ft, fewer luminaires are required for a given location, allowing for increased space between installations.
“We are continuing the evolution of the Seem product line to meet the needs of contractors,” says Mike Thornton, Focal Point’s chief marketing officer (CMO).
