Legrand’s whole house hub hooks up with Apple Watch (model LC7001)

May 4, 2016 | By Renée Francoeur

May 4, 2016 – Legrand recently released new software for its whole house lighting control hub and its first application for the Apple Watch, giving homeowners the scheduling power to control lighting changes using the high-tech timepiece, in addition to the existing phone and tablet apps.

The software, version 1.3 for the Legrand model LC7001 hub, includes both firmware as well as an update for the iOS app that enables control via the Apple Watch touchscreen.

The LC7001 hub lets homeowners control home lighting manually or according to scheduled, pre-set lighting scenes. More than 100 scene pre-sets are possible, Legrand claims, including scenes covering multiple areas, or zones, within the home. The hub is compatible with the full range of Legrand’s RF (radio frequency) light switches and devices, including the adorne, radiant, Decorator and Miro lines.
