New nodes and manager for 2015 lighting controls from WattStopper

July 10, 2015 | By Renée Francoeur

July 10, 2015 – WattStopper says its new exterior lighting controls allow facility managers to better automate and manage outdoor lighting. The solution is scalable and built on open standards including 6LoWPAN and BACnet.

The solution includes distributed fixture-mounted control nodes that operate independently or as part of a network. When connected to a network, they deliver real-time data including energy information, alerts and failure alarms—providing remote monitoring.

Products comprising the lighting controls suite include the wireless network manager and supervisor, Built wireless control node, and wireless input/output control nodes.

New capabilities include wireless connectivity via self-healing IP network, cellular connectivity and voltage, current and power factor reporting.

These controls can reduce operating costs by up to 30%, WattStopper said, and are ideal for a wide range of commercial site, parking and pathway lighting.
