March 20, 2013 – Lighting Science Group has launched the “Edison inspired” A19 and GP19 LED lamp as a direct replacement for traditional general purpose lighting. Boasting the most advanced thermal materials available, the lamps claim to be lighter and more efficient, while less expensive, than ever before. The Definity Professional A19 LED lamp offers up to 71lm/w performance and is dimmable down to 5%. The Definity Professional GP19 LED lamp utilizes lightweight aluminum and achieves Energy Star equivalency performance comparable to a 40W lamp, says the company. The GP19 LED lamp also tops 80 lm/w and is dimmable down to 5%.
