Lutron settles ITC complaint with Universal Smart Enterprises

Lutron Electronics Co. Inc. announced settlement of its International Trade Commission complaint against Universal Smart Enterprises Corp. (“Smart”). The complaint contained allegations that Smart dimmers infringed two Lutron patents, as well as a Lutron configuration trademark relating to Lutron’s lighting control products.
As part of the settlement, Smart has agreed to remove from the all
existing inventory of the accused products from the United States.
Further, Smart agreed to the entry of a Consent Order whereby it agreed
not to import or sell any of the accused products within the United
States.
