HD Supply Utilities and N-Dimension Solutions Inc. announced they have commissioned a managed cyber security service for Welland Hydro-Electric Systems Corporation. Welland Hydro is the first distributor to partner with HD Supply and N-Dimension for the security solution that meant to address smart grid vulnerabilities.
According to Gary Walker, vice president of HD Supply Utilities Canada,
N-Dimension cyber security solution will enable Welland Hydro to secure
its grid assets and HD Supply Utilities will provide cyber security
protection for N-Dimension critical assets.
Welland Hydro is responsible for the delivery of electricity to homes
and businesses in the City of Welland, Ont. and the maintenance of the
local electricity distribution system. The managed cyber security
service will provide Welland Hydro’s IT with additional security
protection and system reliability, says the release.
